The Mission of the Historical Reference Library
The purpose of the Historical Reference Library is to compile as much material as possible that reflects the true doctrine of the Bible as practiced by God's church as well as the history of God's people through the centuries. This collection includes the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite's roots in the (Old) Mennonite Church and the Low German ancestry that many of its members share. It is also the goal of the library to make much of that material available on this website for the benefit of those who do not have ready access to the library in Moundridge.
Documents, books, correspondence, periodicals, and other memorabilia make up that record and are cataloged and filed in the library.
The Historical Reference Library is a project of the Conference Services office in the Conference Offices building located at 100 South Avenue C, Moundridge, Kansas and operates in cooperation with Gospel Publishers at the same location. It is in a reinforced section of the building in order to protect its contents as much as possible from fire, storm, or other disaster.
It is not intended that the library become a museum, but there are some items of memorabilia that connect us with our past and provide a physical and visual perspective to our history.
The library is open to the public Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.
